Gas prices have remained mostly stable both locally as well as across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, dropped by two cents to $3.28 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole remained even over the past week at $3.30. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Jeannette at $3.23 per gallon, while the most expensive is $3.37 in Mercer.
The average national gas price rose by two cents over the past week to $3.17 which is a nickel more than last month and nearly a dollar more than last year. AAA expects an increase in global crude production this month but high global demand keeping gas prices elevated.
