Gas prices are slightly higher both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, increased by two cents to reach $3.10 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole also rose by two cents to sit at $3.12. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Brookville at $2.87, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.43.
The average national gas price dropped another two cents over the past week to $2.79 which is the lowest gas has been in almost five years. Both gasoline demand and oil prices decreased last week.
