Gas prices are once again rising locally as well as across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, increased to $2.77 per gallon which is two cents more compared to last week.
Prices rose by a nickel to $2.77 per gallon across western Pennsylvania as a whole over the past week. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Latrobe at $ 2.47 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.85 in Indiana and Warren.
The average national gas price has risen by four cents over the last week to $2.46 which is two cents more expensive than one year ago. AAA reports that crude oil prices remain higher than at any point in the last year which may result in continued increases at the pump.
