Gas prices have stabilized locally and even dropped a little across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, remained at $3.08 per gallon which is the same as last week.
Prices dropped by three cents to $3.03 per gallon across western Pennsylvania as a whole over the past week. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in New Castle at $ 2.85 per gallon, while the most expensive is $3.10 in Mercer and Oil City.
The average national gas price increased by two cents over the last week to $2.88 which is the highest since May of 2019. AAA expects price fluctuations at the pump this week as a result of a decline in demand and crude oil price as well as an increase in supply.
