Lucas Glover won the FedEx St. Jude Championship in a one-hole playoff over Patrick Cantlay Sunday, earning his second consecutive victory. Glover became the third player over the age of 40 to win back-to-back weeks on the PGA Tour, joining Kenny Perry and Vijay Singh. The win also moved Glover to #4 in the FedEx Cup standings heading into the BMW Championship this week. He began the week at #49. Cantlay had shot a final round 64 to force the playoff.
American golfer Lilia Vu won the Women’s Open in England Sunday, earning her second LPGA Tour major, and will move into the women’s top overall ranking in the world. She topped Charlie Hull by six strokes. Second round leader Ally Ewing finished in a three-way tie for sixth place, ten strokes back, after shooting a pair of 75’s over the weekend.
