Local Republican lawmakers are weighing in on the proposed budget by Governor Shapiro.
State Senator Scott Hutchinson was critical of the budget saying it was “an extremely aggressive spending plan” and that it doesn’t have enough revenue to balance the budget.
State Representative Aaron Bernstine argues the budget would lead to new taxes due to a 7.5 percent spending increase.
The budget will be analyzed by the House Appropriations Committee with hearings starting on February 18th.
