Governor Josh Shapiro detailed what he would like to see from the upcoming fiscal year budget yesterday and local lawmakers are responding.
State Senator Elder Vogel called the budget “fiscally irresponsible” while State Senator Scott Hutchinson maintains that “this budget spends way too much”.
State Representative Aaron Bernstine called the proposal “out of touch and out of control”.
The next step of the budget process will see The House Appropriations Committee along with local member Representative Marci Mustello hold a three-week session of Public Hearings with agency leaders.
