Pennsylvania plans to lift all COVID-related mitigation orders with the exception of masking at the end of this month.
A recent announcement from the state Department of Health and the Wolf administration states that mitigation orders will be lifted on Memorial Day. Orders mandating the wearing of masks will be lifted when 70% of adult residents have been fully vaccinated.
The Department of Health is directing Pennsylvanians to CDC guidance and recommendations for ongoing COVID-19 safety procedures.
This decision will not prevent municipalities and school districts from following stricter mitigation efforts. Also, hospitals and long-term care facilities will still be required to report testing and any new cases.
