A long anticipated ground breaking event is happening later today.
Officials will gather today as ground will break on the new Harmony Volunteer Fire Department.
It’s expected the new facility will cost over $7 million in construction, with a majority of it paid for by grants.
The new fire department will be located on Route 19, which is also South Main Street, in Zelienople.
Officials say the new location will response times and allow them to provide better services.
Construction is expected to take about one year.
