The Grove City College football team will make its third straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament as the Wolverines earned an at-large berth in the 40-team playoff draw. Grove City will visit Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference champion Hanover of Indiana in the first round of the playoff this Saturday at 12 pm. Grove City closed the regular season with eight straight victories to secure one of the 13 at-large berths in the tournament. The Wolverines earned a 63-14 win Saturday at Hiram.
The Wolverines finished 7-1 in conference play, along with a 5-0 record on the road in the regular season. Hanover earned the HCAC’s automatic berth in the playoffs by winning the conference title. Both teams enter Saturday’s game 8-2.
