Grove City College is renaming their science building in honor of an alumnus and tech entrepreneur.
The former Rockwell Hall of Sciences will be renamed the Smith Hall of Science and Technology in honor of William Smith Jr., who graduated from Grove City in 1969.
The 90-plus year old building is currently undergoing a $48 million upgrade.
Bill Smith and his family are the lead donors of the capital project. He founded Smith Micro Software and oversaw its operation as CEO for 40 years.
The renovations are expected to be complete by 2025.
