A local college’s orchestra has earned recognition for their performance.
The Grove City College Symphony Orchestra placed third in The American Prize National Nonprofit Competition in the Performing Arts.
The symphony won an award for their performance from the spring of 2022.
“I am so proud of our students in the Symphony Orchestra for their outstanding work and contributions toward this award and their continued dedication to excellence,” Dr. Jeffrey Tedford, chair of the music department said. “Competing against some standout orchestras from elite institutions like Cornell and Concordia University is a quite a feat for us.”
The college’s orchestra is made up of about 80 students.
