A Grove City man is facing charges after being accused of assaulting a pastor in Mercer County.
On Tuesday just before 8:30 pm, police were called to the Grove City Alliance Church for an active fight.
According to charging documents, 30-year-old Jonathan Goodman arrived at the church intoxicated. Goodman was told to leave but he later returned to the church to push down and hit the pastor.
Police say the pastor had visible marks and scratches on both arms.
Goodman has been charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, Defiant Trespass, a DUI, and several summary offenses.
He’s being held in the Mercer County Jail on $10,000 bond and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 1.
