A court ruling will leave a Butler School Board member off the ballot for the next primary election.
Butler County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Yeager ruled that Bill Halle will be removed from the ballot this May.
According to a post on Halle’s social media page, he lost his court battle for failing to file a statement of financial interest with the Butler Area School District before the required deadline.
The case was filed by school board candidate Phil Heasley.
Halle says he is deciding if he will appeal the decision or run as a write-in candidate.
That currently leaves six candidates running for five positions on the board.
