Denny Hamlin won NASCAR’S Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway last night. The race was delayed three times. The first time for two hours due to rain, then lightning just five laps in to the race, and again later for 40 minutes because of lightning. It’s Hamlin’s third win of the season.
Chase Elliott was the runner-up, followed by Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick.
This was the first NASCAR race to have fans since returning from the coronavirus shutdown, but it was only a few hundred military personnel who were invited from nearby Homestead Air Force base.
The drivers head to Talladega, Alabama this weekend – where up to 5,000 fans are expected to be in attendance.
