Former Super Bowl MVP linebacker James Harrison has signed a one-year contract with the New England Patriots. Harrison was released last week by the Pittsburgh Steelers after limited playing time this season. The Steelers cut Harrison when they returned offensive lineman Marcus Gilbert to their active roster following his steroid suspension. Harrison leaves the Steelers as their all-time leader in sacks with 80-1/2. He appeared in just five games this season, and had limited snaps in each.
(Most recently, he played 11 snaps in the game against New England. Before that it was seven plays in week seven. )
