A major winter storm hit Western Pennsylvania early Sunday morning.
The long-projected forecast came to fruition starting early Sunday and has continued to pack a punch over throughout the day.
The National Weather Service says the region received 4 to 6 inches by 8 a.m. and that number continues to grow.
The totals still vary, but now gear toward the higher end of 13 to 16 inches.
There was one call into the Butler County 911 Center for an accident in Prospect Borough for a car into a tree, but officials urge people to stay home during the winter storm warning.
Crews have been out plowing roads, but the quick accumulation has led to sketchy road conditions.
