The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) reminds veterans of assistance available with locating lost documents.
Securing military paperwork, especially the DD-214, which is used to verify military service, is important for securing benefits.
The DMVA offers toll-free assistance to military members who can call 1-800-547-2838 or email [email protected]. The DMVA responded to nearly 800 requests for assistance to find military records over the last fiscal year.
Veterans, family members and people who work with veterans can learn more about the Records Request Program or sign up for the Veterans Registry at the DMVA website.
