The Slippery Rock University baseball team will host Seton Hill today at Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park. First pitch is noon.
Penn State wrestler Bo Nickal won the Hodge Trophy awarded annually to the nation’s top wrestler. Nickal won his third NCAA title March 23rd at PPG Paints Arena. He went 30-0 this season for the Nittany Lions, who won the national title for the eighth time in the past nine years. Kittanning native Jason Nolf was also a finalist for the Hodge Trophy.
Pitt sophomore guard Khameron Davis has decided to transfer. The Colorado native averaged 2.5 points and 2.2 assists in an average of 13 minutes per game this season under first-year head coach Jeff Capel.
Moon-native John Calipari has agreed to a long-term contract with Kentucky.
