High School Football Playoffs:
–Karns City will host Farrell tonight in the opening round of the PIAA Class 2A playoffs. Kick-off is 7pm. Both teams enter the game 9-2.
–North Catholic will face undefeated Avonworth in the WPIAL Class 3A Semifinals. Kick-off is 7pm at North Allegheny high school. The Trojans are 9-3. Avonworth is 11-0.
Two WPIAL championship games will be played Saturday:
–North Allegheny and Central Catholic meet in the Class 6A title game at Pine-Richland high school. Kick-off is 6:05pm.
–Aliquippa and McKeesport meet for the Class 4A championship, also at Pine-Richland beginning at 12:05pm.
