High School Results from Tuesday:
WPIAL Soccer Playoffs:
–The Freeport girls defeated Ringgold 11-0 in the Class 2A First Round. Camryn Woods led the Yellow Jackets with a hat trick. Freeport will meet North Catholic Saturday in the Quarterfinals.
North Catholic defeated Beaver 2-1.
–The Mars boys will travel to Bethel Park tonight in the Class 3A Quarterfinals. Game time is 8pm.
District 9 Soccer Playoffs:
–The Karns City girls defeated Kane 11-1 in the Class 1A Quarterfinals. Hannah Dailey reached the 100-goal career milestone during the game for the Gremlins. She led Karns City with four goals in the game.
District 10 Soccer Playoffs:
–Slippery Rock boys defeated Hickory 4-2 in the Class 2A Quarterfinals.
WPIAL Volleyball Playoffs:
–Mars defeated Belle Vernon 3-1 in the Class 3A First Round. They will meet Greensburg Salem tomorrow in the Quarterfinal Round.
–Chartiers Valley eliminated Freeport 3-1, also in the 3A First Round.
Tonight – Seneca Valley will host Armstrong in the Class 4A First Round at 7:30pm.
District 9 Girls Volleyball Playoffs:
–Coudersport defeated AC Valley 3-1.
PIAA Girls Tennis Tournament:
–North Catholic shutout Bedford 5-0 in the Class 2A First Round.
