Boys basketball:
–Moniteau-60 AC Valley-40.
–Karns City kept KSAC playoff hopes alive with an 83-62 win over North Clarion. Taite Beighley had a triple-double for the Gremlins with 20 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Shane Peter added a double-double with a team-high 31 points and 11 rebounds. Karns City is now 14-6 overall and 8-2 in the KSAC and can earn a playoff spot with a win over Union or a Clarion-Limestone loss Friday.
Girls Basketball:
–Karns City-52 West Shamokin-34. Brooklynn Taylor and Naomi Vanesky combined for 38 points to lead the Gremlins, who improved to 14-6 this season.
