Boys Basketball:
–Butler defeated Seneca Valley 82-67. Mattix Clement led Butler with 23. The Golden Tornado improved to 11-3 overall, 4-1 in section play. Mason Bush led Seneca Valley with 30.
–Pine-Richland remained in first place in Class 6A Section-1 with a 66-63 victory over Central Catholic. The Rams have won 10 straight to improve to 12-2 and 5-0 in the section.
–Knoch defeated Freeport 82-59 for their ninth win in a row. The Knights went on a 20-0 run to end the first half. Scott Frazer led the Knights with 21. Knoch improved to 11-3 overall. 5-0 in Class 4A Section-1.
–Mars-68 Hampton-41. Khori Fusco led the Planets with 33.
–North Catholic-71 Avonworth-29.
Hockey:
–Peters Township defeated Seneca Valley 5-2.
Rifle:
–Butler-800 Plum-799.
Swimming:
–Knoch swept a dual meet over Springdale and Central Valley.
The Clarion and Clarion-Limestone school boards voted in separate meetings Tuesday night to combine their schools into one football program. According to Explore Clarion dot com – Clarion will be the host school for 2019.
