High School Sports:
–The Seneca Valley girls volleyball team shutout Armstrong 3-0 last night in the First Round of the Class 4A WPIAL Playoffs. The Raiders will meet Pine-Richland Saturday.
–The North Catholic girls defeated Kiski Area 3-1, also in the Class 4A First Round. The Trojanettes will face Upper St. Clair in the Quarterfinal Round Saturday.
–Tonight – the Mars girls host Greensburg Salem at 7pm in the Class 3A Quarterfinals.
–The Mars boys soccer team fell to Bethel Park 2-0 last night in the WPIAL Class 3A Quarterfinals.
–Tonight – the North Catholic boys will meet Deer Lakes in the Class 2A Quarterfinals. The match will be played at Pine-Richland high school and begins at 6pm.
–The Seneca Valley girls soccer team will host Upper St. Clair in the Class 4A Quarterfinals at 7pm.
–The Mars girls travel to Plum at 7pm in the Class 3A Quarterfinals.
–The Seneca Valley boys soccer team will host Canon McMillan Saturday at noon in the Class 4A Quarterfinals.
–The Freeport girls will host North Catholic in the Class 2A Quarterfinals Saturday at noon.
District 9:
–The Redbank Valley girls volleyball team pulled off a reverse sweep to eliminate Moniteau 3-2 in the Class 2A Quarterfinals.
District 10:
–The Slippery Rock girls volleyball team swept Meadville 3-0 in the Class 3A Quarterfinals.
–The Grove City girls soccer team defeated General McLaine 2-1 in the Class 2A Quarterfinals.
