Boys Basketball:
–Mars defeated Hampton 85-60. Robby Carmody led all scorers with 38 points.
–Freeport topped Deer Lakes 83-71. Jalen Brown led the Yellow Jackets with 20 points.
–Pine-Richland defeated Shaler 77-51.
–North Allegheny won their second straight section game with a 65-34 win over North Hills.
–Armstrong defeated Kiski Area 39-39.
–Avonworth defeated Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic 42-40.
Girls Basketball:
–AC Valley defeated Cranberry 46-38. Ellie Thompson led the Lady Falcons with a game-high 23 points, giving here 1,228 in her career. Thompson is just 37 away from the AC Valley school record set by Hilary McCall in 2002.
–Freeport defeated Deer Lakes 53-41.
–North Allegheny defeated North Hills 59-39.
A number of games were postponed because of weather Tuesday.
–The Moniteau and Karns City Girls games were postponed until tonight.
