High School Sports from Monday:
–The Seneca Valley girls soccer team defeated Canon-McMillan 4-1 last night and will play for the WPIAL Class 4A championship. Madeline Marcotte scored a hat trick for the Raiders. Seneca Valley improved to 14-2-2 this season will meet undefeated Peters Township in the title game. Peters Township eliminated North Allegheny 2-1 in overtime in the other semifinal last night.
–The Mars boys soccer team fell to Franklin Regional 2-1 in the WPIAL Class 3A semifinals.
Tonight:
–The Mars girls soccer team will meet South Fayette in the WPIAL Class 3A semifinals. The match will be played at North Hills high school and begins at 8pm.
–The North Catholic girls soccer team will Quaker Valley in the 2A semifinals. The match will be played at North Allegheny high school and also begins at 8pm.
PIHL Hockey:
–North Hills-7 Butler-5.
–North Catholic-4 Mars-2.
