High School Sports:
Boys Basketball:
–Pine-Richland defeated Butler 79-74. Ethan Morton led the Golden Tornado with a school record 51 points.
Pine-Richland took over first place in Section One of Class 6A with a 10-2 overall record and are now 3-0 in section play. Butler fell to 2-1 in the section, 9-3 overall.
–Knoch-74 Highlands-59. Scott Frazer led the Knights with 33.
–Freeport defeated Mt. Pleasant 66-55. Aiden Skradski led the Yellow Jackets with 22 points. Jalen Brown added 18.
–Seneca Valley-57 North Hills-35. Mason Bush led the Raiders with 35.
–Mars-78 Plum-61.
–AC Valley defeated Forest Area 81-48. Levi Orton led the Falcons with 39 points and 20 rebounds.
–Moniteau defeated Venango Catholic 66-52. Jared Lominski led the Warriors with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
–Karns City downed Cranberry 60-40. Nathan Waltman led the Gremlins with 19.
–The Mars 9th grade boys basketball team defeated Seneca Valley 58-57.
Girls Basketball:
–Butler-41 Knoch-24.
–Mars-63 West Mifflin-56. Tai Johnson led the Planets with 23.
–Redbank Valley defeated Karns City 47-36.
Rifle:
–Butler 797 Indiana-792. Top shooters for Butler with 100’s: Andrew Arbanas, Riley Rodgers, Alec Stamm, Taylor Gilliland and Max Wertz.
