Another shelter at Alameda Park is set for renovations next year.
County commissioners approved the project earlier this week to knock down and replace the Holly Shelter at the park.
Officials say the renovation will expand the shelter and double occupancy to 150 people. It’s also a part of an effort with the Butler AM Rotary Club to include a memorial to local first responders.
The renovation project will cost the county $68,000 with other funds coming from AM Rotary. Park officials believe the project will be completed sometime next year.
