The Honda Motor Company has issued a safety recall for a large number of vehicles in the United States.
The recall is for over 124,000 2020 to 2023 Honda Civics, Ridgelines, Passports, Pilots, and Acura MDX for a part of the brake system that was improperly assembled.
This tie rod fastener issue could result in diminished brake function or brake failure. A brake failure on a 2021 Pilot last year resulted in the investigation which led to this recall.
No crashes or injuries have been reported as a result of this issue but two warranty claims have been received since September of last year. Owner notifications will begin in August.
