State House lawmakers have once again passed a bill that will raise the minimum wage.
The bill passed along party lines 104-95; it would raise the minimum wage to $15 by 2029 and increase with inflation.
Raising the minimum wage has been a long campaign promise by Governor Josh Shapiro and fellow Democrats but Republicans have often stopped the bill or voted the bill down before reaching the governors desk.
The bill will now move to the Senate Labor and Industry Committee which is controlled by Republicans.
