Two familiar faces will return to leadership positions in Harrisburg.
Democratic State Representative Joanna McClinton of Philadelphia was re-elected speaker of the house. Although she split votes in the first round, the nominated Republican stepped down allowing McClinton to become speaker.
In the State Senate, it’s Republican Kim Ward of Westmoreland County who will serve as Senate Pro Tempore.
Democrats hold a one-seat majority in the House, while Republicans maintain control of the State Senate.
