I-79 southbound is now open after a crash shut down the highway earlier this morning..
The multi-vehicle crash happened before 5 a.m. just south of the Butler County line in Marshall Township that required the southbound lanes to close. There was at least one person taken to the hospital; other details are not known at this point.
I-79 was shut down in between the Cranberry interchange and Wexford; it reopened just after 7:30 a.m.
Drivers could still see some delays on Route 19, where traffic was detoured.
