An improvement project at a local park is about to begin.
Butler Township Manager Tom Knights provided an update to the Commissioners about the status of the project at Preston Park to construct a new portion of road and 67 parking spaces as well as providing public water and sewer service to new restroom facilities.
The contractor handling the project is beginning to move vehicles in today with work expected to begin later this week. The park will not close completely during this job but there will be some rolling closures that will take place in different areas for different lengths of time.
This project is expected to be completed sometime the week of August 24th when the new restroom facility will be delivered.
