Independence Health System is hosting a free health screening event this weekend.
The cardiovascular screening will take place on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at their Crossroads Campus on Oneida Valley Road.
Residents will be able to receive a Body Mass Index assessment, blood pressure check, carotid artery screening, electrocardiogram, lipid profile, blood sugar test, and vascular screening.
A 14-hour fast is recommended before testing for accurate results. Pre-registration is required by calling 877-771-1234 option 3.
The event will also include healthy food tastings and recipes provided by the Lifestyle Coaching team.
