A man in the Butler County Prison is now facing additional charges for allegedly assaulting a correction officer.
The incident happened on March 29th when officers say 26-year-old Elijah Claypoole was being uncooperative.
As he was being taken to his cell, Claypoole charged at a corrections officer.
Claypoole tried to attack the CO multiple times before a taser was used. A search found Claypoole had a toothbrush carved into a knife.
Claypoole has been charged with assault by a prisoner to a facility employee, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and inmate procuring a weapon.
Claypoole is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
