An inmate at the Butler County Prison has been charged after he was found with a cell phone earlier this year.
According to a release by the U.S. Department of Justice, 36-year-old William Kelly Penn has been charged by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh with possessing contraband while in prison.
On February 20th while a federal detainee in the Butler County Prison, Penn was found to possess the prohibited cell phone.
This investigation was conducted by the U.S. Marshals Service and Penn could face up to one year in prison, a fine of up to $100,000 or both.
