The Pittsburgh women’s soccer team, the Riveters, will host Racing Louisville FC to begin the USLW playoffs this Friday night. The match begins at 7pm at FNB Stadium on Pittsburgh’s South Side. The Riveters are 9-0-1 and captured the Great Forest Division title. Louisville won the Valley Division championship. It is part of a playoff doubleheader the Riveters are hosting. Minnesota Aurora FC will face Union FC Maycomb at 3:30pm Friday. The two winners will meet for the Central Conference championship Sunday at 7pm.
The Riveters lost to Minnesota Aurora last year in their first playoff experience.
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will host the expansion Brooklyn FC Saturday night for a match prior to the city of Pittsburgh’s 4th of July Fireworks Display. Their match begins at 7pm.
