Monday Dec 8 from 10 – 3 PM LuAnn Kennedy Cherry will be at the Butler Public Library signing and selling her book “The Old Butler Graveyard”. The book tells the story of the first and oldest graveyard in the city of Butler. The founders of the town and Revolutionary War soldiers along with first families were buried there. In 1905 the graves were moved and the Butler Junior High was built on that ground. Today it is where the Butler Middle School building sits at the corner of McKean and North Street.

The book would make a great gift for anyone interested in Butler history. It is only available from her or at the Butler Art Center during their business hours. It is not available on Amazon. The book was self published here in Butler. The price is $25.
