A defamation lawsuit filed against the district attorney, a local mayor, and two others has been dismissed.
After the last election, attorney Jennifer Gilliand Vanasdale filed a suit against District Attorney Rich Goldinger, Slippery Rock Mayor JonDavid Longo, and two others for what she claimed was defamation during the 2023 general election.
Vanasdale claimed that various social media posts damaged her reputation.
The judge ruled the case lacked sufficient evidence in midst of the claims made by Vanasdale.
The suit was first filed two weeks after the 2023 election and was dismissed with prejudice.
