A jury found a Butler man guilty of murder in a fatal shooting that happened last summer in Butler Township.
29-year-old Nathan Michael of Butler was found guilty of third-degree murder after he shot and killed 38-year-old Joseph Derenzo in June of last year.
Charging documents say Michael shot Derenzo at a home on Spooner Drive, which is near the BC3 main campus.
Prosecutors argued that Michael shot Derenzo following an argument that happened inside the home. Michael claimed he shot Derenzo in self-defense.
Michael will be sentenced on October 23rd.
