The gunman who shot and killed 11 people in a Pittsburgh synagogue has now been sentenced to death.
The 12-person federal jury unanimously returned the recommendation yesterday.
That was the conclusion of the months long trial that found Robert Bowers guilty of the most heinous attack against the Jewish community in American history.
The sentencing now moves to a federal court in Indiana, where a judge is expected to make an official ruling Thursday morning.
Despite the verdict, it could be years before an execution takes place as the Department of Justice has placed a moratorium on capital punishment.
