The Karns City football team will be playing tonight according to their superintendent.
The community support for the school and team has been overwhelming since their teammate Mason Martin collapsed last Friday during a home game against Redbank Valley.
Dr. Eric Ritzert told us in an email that Mason’s family, the football team, and coaches all wanted to proceed with the game that will be at Ridgeway.
Numerous schools from around the area have also expressed their support for Mason and the Karns City area. The Mars Area School District is holding a purple and gold day to support Mason.
A GoFundMe account setup to help the Martin family has raised over $50,000 to this point.
