The Karns City Area School District took extra precautions on Friday following information received about a possible threat against the High School.
Superintendent Eric Ritzert issued a notification to the school community Thursday evening based on reports from the Safe2Say system.
The information was shared with the State Police as a precaution and the threats were investigated. The investigation came to the conclusion that the threats were not credible.
The school day continued as scheduled Friday with an increased police presence in the morning at Karns City High School.
