A Karns City man has been charged after being accused of disseminating child sexual abuse material.
On August 18 the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office received a tip from federal officials in an Arkansas case that someone in Butler County may be in possession of the child sexual abuse material.
After an investigation of phone and IP address records, police acquired a search warrant for 56-year-old Steven Morgan’s Snapchat account.
Police found nearly a dozen illegal files on the account and Morgan admitted to the account being his personal account.
Morgan is facing 11 counts connected to CSAM and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
He was able to post the $75,000 bail and is now awaiting a September 8th preliminary hearing.
