Motorists in Butler and Summit Townships should be aware of the next phase of a construction project on a busy road.
According to PennDOT, new traffic patterns will go into effect Monday (tomorrow) on Route 68/East Jefferson Street as part of the Karns Crossing Bridge Project.
The second phase of this project will include lane shifts onto the new temporary Route 68 near Delwood Road as well as changing the traffic signals at the Route 422 eastbound on and off ramps.
Also, the speed limit will be reduced to 30 miles per hour through the construction zone and the existing eastbound lane on the bridge will be closed with traffic shifted into the westbound lane and two lanes of traffic maintained.
The entire $65 million project will continue until spring of 2028.
