As the state budget process continues, Congressman Mike Kelly is urging lawmakers to align the state’s tax code with federal tax policies.
Kelly sent a letter to Republican leaders in the Senate calling for the state budget to match up with policies in the Working Families Tax Cuts. That includes incentives for small businesses, and expensing for investments in manufacturing.
Kelly believes keeping taxes low are an important part of getting businesses to invest in Pennsylvania.
The state budget is due June 30th, although many expect lawmakers to push beyond that deadline.
