A local business is once again offering tasty treats for kids to participate in summer reading programs at Butler County libraries.
According to the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau, the Snowman in Portersville has donated 25 $5 gift certificates to each of the nine local libraries as part of second year of the “Summer Reading is Cool” reward program.
The first 25 children that complete the summer reading program at each of the libraries (Butler Area Public Library, Cranberry Public Library, Evans City Public Library, Mars Area Public Library, North Trails Public Library, Prospect Community Library, Slippery Rock Community Library, South Butler Community Library, and Zelienople Area Public Library) according to the criteria of each library’s program will receive a $5 gift certificate.
The Snowman in Portersville is an independently family-owned roadside attraction that has been providing season sweet treats just outside of Moraine State Park for the past 12 years.
