The Knoch School Board heard more about the progress on the construction project at the High School campus.
According to an update from the district’s construction manager, all contractors are on site and crews have been able to pour most of the foundations for the required storm shelter with masonry walls soon to follow.
The board approved a couple of change orders in the amount of $42,000 and $5,000 in order to move and repair some storm sewer lines. The district is waiting to hear back from a couple of electricity providers concerning the timeline and cost to move a couple of utility poles.
High school office space is in the process of demolition in order to make room for a new lobby for the auditorium which is not under construction but the area around it will be so there could be some inconvenience during events later in the spring.
