The Knoch School District is welcoming a couple of new school administrators.
During a school board meeting on Wednesday, members approved the hiring of Dr. Greg Boerio as the new principal of the Knoch Primary School at an annual salary of $107,000. He will begin August 7th.
Boerio comes to the district from an Executive Director position at the Rich Center for Autism at Youngstown State University. He also spent time with the Ohio Department of Education, working as a school psychologist and in special education.
The board also approved the hiring of Joshua Shoop to the position of Director of Athletics/Activities and School Community Liason at an annual salary of $85,000. Shoop returns to Knoch after spending time at Pine Richland and Plum School Districts. He will begin July 31st and allow current AD Kurt Reiser to transition to an assistant principal position.
