Around 75 workers a day continue to advance the Knoch High School construction project on schedule.
According to an update from the District’s construction manager to the board Wednesday night, the wellness area is mostly complete and the auditorium is on track to be finished by the end of this month. The surface of the new tennis courts will be installed early next week.
Board members also approved several change orders at their meeting totaling just over $75,000 to accomplish ADA and drainage requirements from PennDOT at the high school parking lot extension drive lane. Additional change orders were approved to add support steel for roof load in several locations and finish some previously unforeseen drywall framing due to bad materials uncovered during demolition work.
Board members will tour the completed spaces sometime in late August with a public open house and ribbon cutting planned for September 2nd.
